2023 Australia Queensland Coat of Arms 1 oz Silver Coin

Celebrate the history and symbolism of Queensland with this 2023 Australia’s Coat of Arms $1 silver coin from the Royal Australian Mint.

The third release in the Royal Australian Mint’s Australia’s Coat of Arms bullion series presents an artistic interpretation of the Queensland Coat of Arms. Queensland’s arms are the oldest state coat of arms in Australia.

The intricate two-sided design includes a red deer, brolga, cow and ram surrounded by sugarcane, wheat and other symbols representing Queensland’s agriculture, industry and prosperity. The Queensland motto “Audax at Fidelis,” meaning “Bold but Faithful,” appears alongside the stag.

A small memorial effigy of Queen Elizabeth II bears the inscription “ELIZABETH II 1952–2022 AUSTRALIA 2023.” The opposite side incorporates the $1 Australian denomination into a shield above the Queensland banner.
