2026 Czech Lion Design

Obverse: Features the portrait of King Charles III together with the issuing country, 2026 date and legal-tender face value.

Reverse: Presents a dramatic close-up portrait of the noble Czech Lion looking upward. The design also incorporates an eagle inspired by the heraldic traditions of St. Wenceslas, Moravia and Silesia. The elaborate Crown of Saint Wenceslas rests prominently upon the lion’s head.

The Czech Lion Series

Introduced in 2017, the Czech Lion became the first bullion coin series produced by the Czech Mint. Its changing designs celebrate Czech history and national identity through symbols such as the two-tailed lion, the Crown of Saint Wenceslas, the linden branch and heraldic birds of prey.

The combination of a new annual design, one ounce of fine silver and a particularly limited mintage of just 5,500 pieces give the 2026 release strong collector appeal.
